Monitoring needs

At the June ‘Logistics Link Live’ event DeltaWMS, the UK’s fastest growing supplier of interactive warehouse management solutions is launching a new version of its flagship DeltaWMS system that will allow users to configure their own KPIs and monitor their performance in real-time.

“We recognise that the warehousing operation is a core business process that can be continuously improved, and our new WMS version reflects that,” says Delta operations director, Lance Bennett.

Other advances in DeltaWMS’ new version 6.0 include a ‘dock diary’ system that uses automation to increase the speed and efficiency of the warehouse docking area; and the facility to attach images to goods receipt and dispatch transactions to record damaged goods in, for instance. Additional improvements include full advance shipment notification (ASN) support, increasingly mandated by major retailers to ensure compliance on both picking and x-dock operations; and a new, location-independent picking facility developed for fresh food suppliers and other users requiring high volume scan picks that are unconstrained by location or pallet management.

DeltaWMS has been developed for distribution, third party, manufacturing and bonded warehouse users and is often deployed with warehouse RF and handheld scanning technology. DeltaWMS single- and multi-site systems are open-database, use an interactive warehouse management ‘graphical map’ and can be integrated into any ERP enterprise or smaller business environment. Delta users already include Condor Ferries, FJG Logistics, Maximuscle, Palletways, Stobart Logistics, Toyota Tsusho, Vion Foods and Warrens Transport.
