Critical stage for business

Yusen Logistics officially launched in the UK on 17th April 2011, uniting NYK Logistics (UK) Ltd and Yusen Air & Sea Service (YAS) into a new comprehensive logistics provider.
The integration of the two companies provides a one-stop shop, offering warehousing, distribution, air/ocean freight forwarding and supply chain management in one package.
As a truly global company, Yusen Logistics can provide solutions ranging from stand-alone operations to international supply chains. It has specialist experience in the automobile, consumer electronics, retail, pharmaceutical and environmental equipment sectors.
Alex Okamoto, managing director, Yusen Logistics Europe, said: “As the UK market represents the largest individual share of our logistics business in Europe, the integration of NYK Logistics and YAS in the UK marks a critical stage in the overall European process.”
Ian Veitch, managing director, Yusen Logistics UK, added: “Yusen Logistics offers customers no less than a truly comprehensive logistics service, which is of huge value in today’s fast moving and highly complex supply chain. This is a very exciting day for our business and we are delighted that the process is going ahead smoothly and on time.”
